Each academic year, the Liberal Studies Department gives three awards to outstanding graduates: the Outstanding Elementary Education Plan Student, the Outstanding Interdisciplinary Thematic Plan Student, and Outstanding Service Student. Winners of these awards are publicly recognized at the May Commencement exercise and have their names engraved on plaques displayed by the department.
